NJAPIE and Conferences
|
To assist you in developing partnerships, NJAPIE designs workshops to give educators, corporate and organizational representatives, and higher education personnel the critical information needed to start, sustain and enhance successful partnerships among diverse groups. Effectively accessing resources within the community will enhance and better prepare students for the challenges of the future. Who should attend? Teaching colleagues in K-12 education, higher education and the business community, administrators, board members and parents. In order to reach a variety of audiences, NJAPIE presents these educational partnership workshops in conjunction with various statewide conferences conducted by New Jersey educational organizations. Individuals interested in building alliances between the public and private sectors are invited to attend such workshops and/or to contact NJAPIE to arrange for such a workshop at a specific conference. Today, education is everyone's business. Students need to understand how knowledge and skills gained today prepare them for tomorrow's careers. At the same time, businesses and institutions need a better prepared workforce. The New Jersey Association of Partners in Education is an organization committed to the development and support of partnerships that meet these needs. The sessions below, from a conference in March 1999, are samples of the type of workshops offered by NJAPIE.
